Schmidty, thanks for the text Gards!

Iain Robertson

The only person I have ever known to introduce himself by his nickname, ‘Hi I am Schmidt’ – who does that?! Schmidty has been involved with the club for 3 years and in that time has improved greatly as a footballer (well lets face it you couldn’t get much worse!). When not selling Smithy on ebay, Schmidty is most likely to be talking about his girlfriend Faye, spending time with Faye, thinking about Faye, drawing pictures of Faye, looking at pictures of Faye, talking about her dad’s frozen food company, dreaming of Faye, talking some more about Faye or even writing her name on his leg (yes he did actually do that in a lecture!!!!). This being said he is an absolute legend, who has been a credit to himself and the fourth team and although he has left the club he will still be seen out and about in Loughborough as he is returning to do a PGCE in September - so the new social secs may wish to ask him for advice……or not!!!!

Jermaine Moyce

The man from the Isle of Wight, also known as Moisy or Moisty has been an ever-present in the 2’s during his time at Loughborough with the occasional call-up to the 1’s. One of the nicest guys at the club, that is until he has a couple of VK’s and inexplicably becomes more ghetto than 50 cent, Ludacris and Bradley’s hair do’s all put together! Saying that the Isle of Wight is pretty gangster isn’t it Moyce??!! Players player in his 1st year Moycey has a lot of potential to pursue his footballing career, however, his decision to move in with his girlfriend in Leeds, get married and have kids (yes he is under the thumb!) may severely hamper his career. Top lad and will be missed next year – good luck Moyce!!!

Peter Barkley

Barks' return transformed the 2005/06 season, not just because of his footballing talent but also his ability to drink, oh yeah and his banter. He won three BUSA golds in three successful years at Loughborough. The midfield maestro will be missed for his antics both on and off the field.
Stephen Windegaard
Quite simply one of the best goalkeepers the club has ever had, and that shortlist includes Bob Wilson! Windy won three BUSA golds in three years with us. He was a vital player for LSAFC, his efforts were rewarded when he deservedly won Managers' Player of the Season in his final year in 2006. Old frying pan hands just so happens to be one of the nicest lads you're ever likely to meet. We miss you already Windy.

Marc Brown

Marc Brown
Former LSAFC striker for the 3s for his three years in Loughborough at a time when the side fielded such stars as Batch, Newsholme and Goodenough... then later J and Shorey. Currently a Personal Trainer in London, Browny was known for singing, singing on the coaches and for singing at the Football Balls, alongside Millsy and J. It would be unfair to put them in the category of Journey South but they're up certainly up there.
Sinclair Le Geyt
Former south African superstar Sinclair Le Geyt, graduated last year and was spotted on Greek island drinking this potent bottle of ‘rascel Ostrov’ Vodka. The where abouts of the former tricky winger is not known – he played for the University for 3 years after leaving Derby County where he applied his footballing genius for 5 years. It is believed the firey safa is working in London as a personal trainer. We miss you Sincs.

Nicknamed ‘Buzza’ is still at Loughborough and playing for local side Quorn FC. Buzza was out of the game for some time and decided to go travelling where he met this good looking character. Buzza is known for his peculiar dress sense is nicknamed ‘Dot Cotton’ by his new friends in Faraday hall for his most recent fashion statement – cardigans. He was a prolific goal-scorer for both the university and Loughborough Dynamo. His early exit from University Football was a great shame however his regular appearances at football socials have helped the legend live on.
Guy Bonwick & Paul Tundi Brown
These two characters have been sorely missed for their dodgy dealing this year however both will be returning after completing they’re years in industry. Bonno former chairman won a BUSA medal last year with the 1st team whilst Dida managerial skill and big time Ego has earnt him a flattering reputation. Nice pic lads!

Richard Sutcliffe

Richard Sutcliffe
Spaniard, he has disappeared – does anyone know where our Spanish superstar has gone? Spaniard represented the 2’s and 3’s for three seasons here at Loughborough University. His speed and agility was utilized more effectively at Hey Ewe with his sleazy chat up lines and fake Spanish accent.

Ben Shannon
No picture is available for our former joint chairman ‘Shanno’. He has been sorely missed at left-back this season, but he too will be returning after his placement year. Shanno also won a BUSA medal last year.

Richard Pell

Richard Pell
Pell Dizzel ‘the bear’ – the giant centre back with his aerial presence has been a big loss to the university 1st team, his outstanding performance in the final and consistency was a huge asset and was key in becoming champions last season. Pelly is now back up North and still playing at a good standard. Any danger of a visit soon though – he has not been seen for some time.

A huge thanks to Schmidt & Gards for their help with these.
