Can you tell me about your time at Loughborough, highlights and lowlights... what squads you are in etc?
Well I haven’t been here that long. Still there have been lots of highlights! Getting to the semi finals of BUSA is pretty big! Hopefully we can get to the finals! Playing up front with Simmo and Dolly has been quality, not to forget the quality that we also have on the bench. Lowlights have to include public humiliation for some beautiful boxers!! And Liam’s embarrassing southern banter!
Can you shed any light on your footy career outside of Loughborough?
Played for Scunthorpe United from 12 till 19. Played in the youth team (quality set of lads!) and the reserves. Got offered a pro contract at Scunthorpe but rejected it to come see what University life is all about!
What is the highest achievement in your career so far?
Probably getting offered the Pro contract is the best achievement so far in my career
And which is your most memorable game for Loughborough?
The game against Crewe was quite memorable I played quite well…………..oh almost forget, scored a hat-trick as well!! Don’t think any game could top the Leeds game! The nerves were incredible but we squeezed through and I think this game brought the boys a lot closer and reminded us just what we are playing for.
Who was your best friend in LSAFC (Not including Nick Drew)?
Everyone is my friend! Too much love to go around! If u were to push id say Simmo for strike partners, Liam for lecture buddy and bad banter, in Barks for being a lovable idiot!
Have you any funny tales that you can tell us?
Not really! Just constant banter nothing really big enough to think of!
Which team do you support?
The mighty Newcastle United! New manager, trophies are coming our way! Newcastle is the next Chelsea!
Who is your childhood hero and why?
Big Alan Shearer is a living Legend and so he has to be one of them. Also love to watch Henry and Van Nistelrooy play.
How do you think England will fair in the world cup this summer? Who is your tip to win it?
In the bag! Don’t think the manager situation has helped but it England all the way. Don’t care about Brazil or anyone else.
Should Peter Crouch be allowed to play football?
Yeah he’s quality! Other strikers realise that it’s not just the goal, it's about providing for others and his height helps him do this! Not only knock downs but the defenders from crosses are attracted to him.
Would you take Simon Doleman to the world cup?
Yes definitely! He has the pace of two cheetahs!
What do you think of the website, has it got too much banter for you? I heard that Simmo struggles with it!?!
It's quality. The boys who have worked on it have done a really good job! Nice to have something to look at for banter as well, like some poor efforts at the crossbar challenge!! You know who you are!
Who has the best and worst hair cuts at the club?
Worst has to be Kettle when he had that dyed blob on his head! (he’s a legend though), best don’t know don’t think anyone’s!
What is currently playing on your CD player?
Still loving Artic monkeys and Corinne Railey-rae
Which three players have the most ‘chav’ status?
Telfs has got to be number one!! He tries to get all the boys to help out at the fairground every week! Then I’d say miller! It’s the chain near showing with the shirt! Followed by Liam for them horrible Prada shoes that he keeps wearing!! Sorry boys!
Lastly, what does the future hold for your football career? Do you have a message for the lads at LSAFC?
For me who knows. Whatever happens, happens! As for the boys see you at Bramall Lane! Oh and no telfs I can’t work at the fair ground tonight!!
