Can you tell me about your time at Loughborough, highlights and
lowlights... I am in the 2nd team, same as last year. Highlights are being part of a great 2nd team with some superb banter (best at the club!) and some great nights out.
The only lowlight was losing in the semi finals last year 2-0 to bath with 2 own goals. I won't tell you who scored them though.
Can you shed any light on your footy career outside of Loughborough?
Playing in Wales meant learning with an egg-shaped ball. I managed to overcome that difficulty though and moved to the mighty Cirencester at 16 where we reached the 5th round of the FA Youth Cup only to lose to Crewe on penalties.
What is the highest achievement in your career so far?
Captaining my county was a great honour and moving home to play for Cirencester are all there but they won't be anything once we win BUSA this year.
And which is your most memorable game for Loughborough?
Although I didn't play, the first team final last year was great. Not the best game but the pens were ledge (go on windy!) and I think the support was what made the difference in the end!
Who is your best friend in LSAFC (not including Nick Drew)?
Michael Brew is my best friend of all time - what a character - but apart from that Webby is obviously up there but there is also creditable mentions for the boys from hey ewe - Jase, Grant, Rhyso, Jack, Phil, Dugs n Graeme n Moggy when he makes an appearance.
Why has Toby Webb never scored a goal for LSAFC?
Haha! Well like he says he does play right-back but then I do play left-back and I've scored. I think his mind is on winning plonker of the week more than anything else so he can win plonker of the year for the hundredth time! Where's the t-shirt by the way?? But seriously he will score soon I am just worried about what the celebration will be!!!
Have you any funny tales that you can tell us?
There is a lot of banter at training but I won't be mean and tell you some of Kettles horrible jokes. What goes on at training stays at training.
Which team do you support? Cardiff and Blackburn.
Who is your childhood hero and why?
Ryan Giggs on his day is superb. When I watch Wales he is miles better than anyone else.
Are there any youngsters we should look out for coming through the ranks?
I think Peter Crouch could b a big character at the club.
How do you think England will fair in the world cup this summer? Who is your tip to win it?
With Rooney you got a chance of doing well, maybe even the quarter finals if you are lucky. Brazil and Argentina should be the final but watch out for Ivory Coast.
Lastly, what does the future hold for your football career? Do you have a message for the lads at LSAFC?
We have played well this year but need to improve a lot in the knockouts. We will win BUSA this year, as will the 1st team. My only message is lets keep winning and then we are going to have one hell of a party at the end (and a few during as well!)
