Loughborough University FC – brief history

LSAFC was originally formed in 1920 under Loughborough College, the first team currently compete in the Midland Football Combination Premier Division and in the British Universities Sport Association Northern Premier League, with the other squads competing in the other BUSA leagues and Universities & Colleges Midlands League.

Loughborough have a proud history and a superb relationship with both Midland Football Combination and BUSA. We are firmly established in BUSA, and are its most successful competitor, winning the BUSA championships in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The club firmly believe in progressing players and giving them wide-ranging opportunities whilst striving to maintain our dominance in the sporting elite through fair but competitive performances.

Under the guidance of James Ellis, Tom Curtis, Pete Simmons and Alex McEwan, Loughborough compete under the name of Loughborough University FC in the non-league having entered for the first time in the 2007/08 season.
